Freshmen Coach
Kelsey Hanson
This is the first year that Kelsey
Hanson will be coaching for the Wildcats.
Hanson graduated from St. Francis Senior
High School in 2005, where she played four years of Softball. Here
she earned team MVP her junior year and served as captain of her
varsity team her senior year.
Hanson then moved onto Northwestern College
where she participated all four years in the varsity softball
program. Serving her team as a pitcher she earned all-conference
awards for both her performance on the field and academically. In
Hanson’s third year with Northwestern the
team placed first in the UMAC conference and she was awarded the
2008 UMAC Player of the Year. She currently holds six school
records including most career wins and strikeouts.
Hanson graduated last spring with a
Bachelor’s of Science degree in Studio Art and minor in Psychology.
She hopes to one-day return to school to earn her Master’s in Art
Therapy and earn her teaching license. Hanson
currently lives in Shoreview, MN.
